Anonymous has helped catch criminals ?

Posted: February 8, 2013 by drazsz in Intro

Anonymous has helped catch criminals and they are no just hackers that are up to no good. In October of 2011 they launched “Operation Darknet” which wass going to accomplish this goal “launched as an attempt to cease the activities of child porn sites accessed through hidden services in the deep web”. They were able to obtain over 1,500 names of members of a child porn site. Anonymous did a denial of service act to shut down the website. So as you can see Anonymous aren’t just a group of hackers causing trouble. They do indeed sometimes help people and have done it in a way that most people haven’t thought of.

Make sure its not fake !!!

When you do any type of research on Anonymous make sure its not fake and take time to make sure its real.  Like this video i found here after i did a little research i found out that it was considered fake by the majority of people. Especially if there a group like Anonymous you don’t want people to see the video and get a certain view point when Anonymous may not even agree with the video. Now it is hard to know if a video is fake on your own that’s why you need to do research on the video and don’t assume anything at first glance. This could go the other way around and you might find a video that’s considered fake but its the real deal. So always remeber to double check if you find anything and if you do post something that’s fake or not true make sure you let everyone know that is it and don’t say it is true.

According to the Internet , media and statements made by some government officials for example homeland security. Anonymous are a threat to national security.
A group that can go to a government website and harvest critical information and bypass government security is something quite disturbing.

Anonymous took credit for hacking in to the Booz Allen Hamilton website leaking email address of 90,000 US Soldiers

Anonymous took down the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) web site for a couple hours.

It is also claimed that they hacked PBS, SONY,the US Senate and The Atlanta chapter of Infra-Gard .
The FBI has a private sector that shares information and intelligence to prevent threats against our country.

Do you think Anonymous is a National Security Threat ?

National Security
Of course National Security is important it helps us feel safe that we are protected.
These are some of the measures the government have to take to keep the people safe. The definition of National Security is to maintain the survival of the country.
- We have to maintain effective armed forces.
- We have to have intelligence services to find threats against our country and to protect classified information
- have to have secrete police to protect from internal threats
- we have to offer diplomacy to rally our allies and also keep unwanted threats away

The reason we are talking about national security is in the next post we will talk about how Anonymous is considered a national security threat.
